To be sure that the mold is completely filled, the normal practice is to pour more metal than is actually required. This over-pored metal flows over the mold, making a mess at the production place and has to be removed manually. In addition to the mess, a lot of energy gets lost; because the over poured metal has to be re-melted to get back in the production process. With the integration of an exact scale in the pouring robot, the over pored metal can be minimized. The scale transfers as well the measured result of several load cells in an interval of just some milliseconds. The results are corrected regarding the rotation of the pan through highly precise inclination cells.
