The polluter-pays principle in waste disposal is becoming increasingly widespread worldwide. Recording the weight is much fairer for the polluter than billing by volume. For this reason, a large proportion of refuse collection vehicles are now equipped with scales. A distinction is made between on-board weighing and dynamic weighing systems. DIGI SENS offers both solutions in different variants. The on-board weighing system, which records the entire payload of the truck, is particularly suitable for billing between collection areas or for large industrial customers.

The ELEIRO weighing computer is used for the evaluation and further processing of the measured data from DIGI SENS transducers. It is especially designed for applications where the load cell signals have to be linked in real time, often by using complex algorithms. The ELEIRO calculator has an OIML certificate and is therefore predestined for certified weighing applications.
The load cells of the type ED21/SO 1'500Kg and 7'500Kg have been specially designed for use on refuse collection vehicles and allow, in combination with a weighing computer, calibrated weighing.
The BB Acceleration Cell measures the acceleration by means of a differential silicon capacitor, where the deflection of the middle capacitor plate is measured. It was developed especially for dynamic weighing.
