Applications of structure measurement

The DIGI SENS oscillating wire technology enables by means of a structure measurement a variety of applications which can be individually adapted to the wishes of the customer. It is an alternative to conventional load cells and enables forces and weights to be measured directly in existing structures. The basic concept is to calculate the weight or forces by measuring the physical tension of an installation.

DIGI SENS structure measurements are installed in large quantities in elevators and guarantee optimal performance and safety through precise weight determination. They detect overload and avoid unnecessary stops when the elevator has reached the weight limit. The measurement also ensures that the elevator stops in exactly the right place and assure that there are no unnecessary steps at the exit of the elevator.
